Sustainable Transportation
It’s time to get moving.
Choose How You Move, Nova Scotia’s Sustainable Transportation Strategy aims to help us:
- drive less distance
- move more efficiently and use cleaner energy
- gain access to essential services and employment
- engage with communities in designing solutions
Sustainable transportation can help improve our physical health, support the vitality of our communities, provide equitable access to services and employment, and protect our environment.
The Department of Energy coordinates implementation of the sustainable transportation strategy in cooperation with many other departments, including Health and Wellness, in alignment with the Thrive! A plan for a Healthier Nova Scotia, Municipal Affairs, Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal and others. It also works closely with community stakeholders.
